...In The Valley of Elah (2007)
In the Valley of Elah is an excellent film (from Paul Haggis of Crash) about the Iraq war that doesn't feel like a film about the Iraq war. The film is a slow boiler and engrossing in its story of a father's search for his missing son. Good stuff with a shocking final scene from a film that never lets you down.

OK...now for a serious comment (as opposed to the less serious ones I've left so far.
I wonder if you have seen The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada. It is, by far, one of the most engrossing and stellar performances by Tommy Lee Jones that I have seen and the supporting cast does a good job as well. Well worth your time.
